TESTIMONIALS

We are so grateful for the opportunity to partner with HelloInclusion to provide pedagogical support for our Co-Teaching Teams. Dr. Anderson provided guidance with lesson planning, incorporating strategic instructional models, and shared best practices. We look forward to continuing the work!

Ms. Munce - Deputy Superintendent for NYC Department of Education

We know that SWDs and ENL students are the students with the highest need but it never seems like there is enough support for the teachers who are charged with making sure they succeed. We had previously contracted different firms to support our teachers and reached out for support from the district to no avail. When ‘Hello Inclusion’ came into our building, they made  the idea of inclusion accessible to our teachers. Their PDs imbed the strategies that they want teachers to practice and they provide materials for teachers to adapt their lessons. Their one to one feedback sessions with teachers are not only informational, they are empowering as well.  Hello Inclusion will be a staple in my school community ongoing.

It was a pleasure working with Dr. Mishka. I didn't expect to meet someone as real as her. Throughout earning my degree, I had never met a professor as outspoken and as honest as Dr. Mishka...She introduced us to the problems we continue to face in the education system. As future teachers, Dr. Mishka guided us into changing our mindset from being comfortable with how the education system currently is and directed us to build a structure for an inclusive classroom because we owe it to those who are still fighting for equality.

Dr. Mishka tirelessly works to ensure an environment of high expectations for all students in special and general education, and she has made meaningful differences in children's lives through the power of education. She produced impressive results with her students who had various disabilities. Mishka has always been an advocate for children with disabilities.

Professor Anderson was one of the only professors that I’ve ever had that taught a class that actually made me want to learn more. She made the class so interesting and always came prepared. While encouraging us to step out of our comfort zones, she gave her students the drive to work together with other students who we normally wouldn’t communicate with and in turn we built some lifelong friendships. I’m forever grateful for the chance I had to learn under the amazing Mishka Anderson!

Dr. Mishka Anderson was a great help to me as I started out my teaching career. She was diligent, caring, smart, professional, dependable and had many skills and resources to help me along the way on my journey. She gave amazing feedback that helped me see how I could better help my students and she always had a caring smile on her face. She was also efficient, polite, resourceful, consistent and observant. Mishka was also friendly, easygoing, encouraging, fair and open minded. It was a pleasure to have her working with me.

Professor Mishka Anderson is by far one of the most influential professors I have had the honor of encountering throughout my journey of becoming an early childhood educator. Her teaching goes beyond the classroom. She has shown how knowledgeable, dedicated and passionate she is on how to educate all children in every lesson and pushes you to really understand the responsibility of becoming an educator. Her determination to make big and positive contributions to the black and brown community educational system has resonated with me throughout my journey of early education and continues to motivate me to give children the best learning experience possible. I am very honored to have met her, thank you.
